Accessorizing is a big part of the wardrobe presentation of a woman. One innovative but design-worthy addition is the hat. A hat is a covering that is placed on the head that has a shape similar to a crown and worn like one too. In women’s headwear, a hat comes to mean any headwear that is permanently shaped which is greatly distinguished from a hood. A hood, technically, is not a hat because it covers the neck even though it covers the head. An elaborate hat that is decorated with many ornaments is referred to as a headdress. A soft and shapeless hat is called a scarf or a shawl while a hat with no head covering is called a visor. All of these hat modifications can be used by a woman to add up in her daily get-up.

For formal gatherings, a woman can exemplify her gown or dress by wearing a shawl. Finding a shawl that matches the color of the dress can make it more attractive. A shawl is also a solution for conservative type women whose dress shows a huge part of her shoulders. She can wear the shawl over her head and around her shoulders to cover them without creating an image that she is uncomfortable showing some skin.

In the office, a woman can pair a scarf with her power suit. Adding a scarf to this wardrobe will make it appear more womanly even if her role in the company illustrates a manly image.

On casual days, a woman can wear a hood when going for a jog in the park. She can wear a visor when going for a sports workout with some friends, like tennis or cycling. She can wear a designed cap when going out on a date. And she can wear a headdress when attending a casual get-together.
